PUMA Ocean Racing Team victorious in Transatlantic Race

"Mar Mostro" claims overall line honours and first place in IRC Class 1

Departing Newport, Rhode Island, on July 3, PUMA’s "Mar Mostro" arrived at the Puerto Calero Marina in Lanzerote, Canary Islands, just 7 days, 11 hours and 40 minutes later. The PUMA Ocean Racing powered by BERG Propulsion entry was declared overall winner as well as first in the IRC Class 1 of the 2011 Transatlantic Race, covering 2,975 nautical miles. As “Official Rope Supplier” of the team as it prepares for the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012, Gleistein extends its congratulations to the entire crew!
