After almost 20 days at sea, PUMA’s Mar Mostro has come out on top in the gruelling 5th leg of the Volvo Ocean Race. Comprising around 7,500 nautical miles, the journey – from Auckland to Itajaí in Brazil and rounding Cape Horn – was as tough as they come. Following the win, the ecstatic Skipper, Ken Read, spoke highly of the ropes found on board: “If there is one thing on the boat that we never have to worry about, it's our Gleistein rope. Performance, durability and reliability are a pretty awesome combination.” Gleistein Ropes is extremely proud to contribute to this success and would like to congratulate the entire PUMA Ocean Racing powered by BERG team for their herculean efforts and the tremendous result!
