Bremen, 2 February 2010

Delivering high-performance with low elongation characteristics, Gleistein Ropes introduces its latest innovation: the new GeoStatic NE series. It is specifically designed for applications where static ropes are essential, including abseiling, personal security or rescue purposes. Available in a choice of four diameters (9, 10.5, 11 and 12mm), each GeoStatic NE rope bears the CE mark and is certified according to EN 1891 Type A “Low Stretch Kernmantle Ropes”. The complete range of these high-quality static ropes is available now in a variety of colour patterns.

Many specialised applications exist where low rope stretch is crucial. With GeoStatic NE, Gleistein Ropes introduces a product line incorporating four sizes (9, 10.5, 11 and 12mm diameter) to perfectly serve these needs. Guaranteeing safety and ensuring optimal performance, these new Type A ropes are EN 1891 certified and carry the CE mark - right down to the 9mm option!

Befitting their name, each of these static ropes feature very low elongation rates (just 2.5% with the 12mm rope). Furthermore, all four sizes in the GeoStatic NE range boast cover-core slippage that is nil to negligible. Combined with breaking load strength extending between 27kN (9mm) and 42kN (12mm), Gleistein provides a superb static solution.

The ropes in the GeoStatic NE series are thermo stabilised and boast a 100% polyamide Kernmantle-type construction. Hereby, a core of parallel twines is bundled by a 32 plait braided cover. This lends the rope exceptional durability and extreme abrasion resistant attributes.

GeoStatic NE is now available in a choice of colour variations.
